Description

Hemway Chalk Paint is ideal for your home, crafting and DIY projects.

Our Soft Violet Chalk Paint is bright and beautiful. Perfect when paired with our Linen White Chalk Paint to give your interiors that shabby-chic look.

Preparation

Can be applied to most surfaces without sanding or priming over old paint and varnish. Ensure your desired surface area is clean, free from wax, oil and dry.

Carry out a sample test in a small area first. Suitable for use with a stencil or masking tape to create shapes.

Application

With the lid secured, shake the tin well, then stir the contents of the tin with a spatula for 2 minutes. This will ensure an even mixture. We recommend using a brush or roller. Load your applicator with paint, then remove excess before applying. If using a brush, use a 2-3inch / 5-8cm paintbrush, applying a criss-cross motion to give an even spread. Allow 2 hours to dry between coats.

This paint is non-solvent, but ensure good ventilation when applying. It is not recommended for outdoor use unless coated with Hemway Clear Lacquer. You can also add a glitter effect to your project by mixing Hemway Glitter Paint Additive into the paint - which is available in a variety of colours and sizes.

The illustrated print colour may differ slightly from the final result due to light levels, surfaces and printer inks.

Cleaning

Remove excess paint from used tools before washing. Wash brushes and rollers in warm soapy water. Secure the lid and store upright to avoid any spillage.

Health & Safety

Low hazard product. Safe for normal use. Do not ingest. Wear gloves. Wash splashes off skin with soap and water. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of cold water and seek medical advice.

The paint is child safe and conforms with: ASTM F963-16, EN 71-3:2019 + A1:2021, SOR 2011-17 Safety Standards. Keep out of reach of children when applying.

Mixture

Contains 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one [EC No.247-500-7] and 2-Methyl-2Hisothiazol-3-one [EC No. 220-239-6] (3:1). Max VOC content 0.005kg per L / 0.18oz per 34fl oz.

May produce an allergic reaction. Safety data sheet available on request.

Notes

Goods will only be accepted for return within 14 days of delivery unless we have notified you otherwise.
The item is your responsibility until it reaches us. Therefore, we recommend that you send the parcel using an insured delivery service.
The cost of returning the item to us is your responsibility.
Delivery charges are only refundable where goods are faulty and a refund is made.
We recommend that customers returning goods for refund or exchange obtain a proof of sending certificate from the post office or courier company.
We will process the refund within 48 hours on receipt of the return. Once processed, the refund will appear in your bank account in 5-10 working days.
