How to Use
Begin by cleaning your walls of dust and dirt, giving them a gentle wipe over with a damp sponge or clean cloth. Add the Glitter Paint Additive into the tin of Clear Glaze, afterwards, stir the contents of the tin for 1 minute to prepare it for application. Using a sponge roller is recommended, although a wide bristle paintbrush will also do. Load your roller with the clear glitter glaze, remove the excess, gently and slowly apply it to your wall in a criss-cross motion. If glitter gathers in certain areas, press hard with your roller until the glitter disburses. Do not splat the glaze onto your walls - slowly and carefully is key Allow 2 hour to fully dry between coats If you want a more sparkle on your glittery wall, add another coat once the first coat fully dries. Not suitable for places of hardware, unless over-coated with a protective varnish. Each product comes with 12m+ square metres of coverage per litre, depending on the nature and porosity of the chosen surface. Create Amazing sparkle with excellent value for money! Not cheap, but you pay for what you get and in this instance it is a quality paint.
I chose clear glaze with the silver holographic additive to paint over a renovated gloss white painted bath panel to add some glitz to a white themed family bathroom. The paint arrived promptly and very securely packaged. It is actually quite hard to work out from the combination of tin instructions, separate glitter pack instructions and the website quite what the ideal ratio of glitter to glaze should be, because different mixes could well create different effects. In the end I opted for the 350g to 1ltr mix - (basically I stirred in all the glitter pack into the full tin of glaze as suggested on the glitter pack). Effectively it is up to the user to choose the mix, but some examples on the website about the effects of different densities of mix would be useful. In retrospect a lighter mix with additional coats would probably work better. I found the mix I chose to be relatively dense with glitter, the result being that stopping the movement of the roller when applying resulted in a bald patch at the point of stopping. A mottled effect resulted, mitigated to a great extent by some "repair " second coats in patches. Where possible I would suggest continuous roller sweeps from one side of the item to the other without stopping at this level of density. However the residual mottling is not unpleasant. In direct sunshine the glitter effect on the panel is delightful and exactly as hoped and described - like the glint from a CD. My children have likened it to a "vodka bar". Unfortunately the bath panel is at floor level and receives little or no direct sunshine, or light from the spotlights and so the glitter "shimmer" is sadly limited in our choice of location. However, the secondary residual visual effect is that of "flat" light grey gently mottled textured stone, which also works very well in the particular circumstances of our bathroom, and so has also found universal favour. The key message is that lighting and positioning in relation to windows is critical to getting the glitter effect you might be hoping for and not an issue with the product, which is a good one. It makes huge sense to add glitter to a finishing clear glaze topcoat rather than bury it in ordinary paint as with competing products. I also have no worries about use in a wet environment. Whilst water based, once dry it is resilient and is hard to wash off. I had the equivalent of sparkling nail varnish for a day or too, which is also "interesting" !
Went on great use it again
Very easy to use, quick simple application with good results
I have not used it yet but when I do, I will surely contact you
The product is nice however to get the effect I want for my salon I have to use a bunch of paint and that’s costly.
